Guasha & Tuina Massage
Hands-on Chinese therapies for pain, tension, and stagnation

Two Powerful Touch Therapies
Guasha (刮痧) and Tuina (推拿) are ancient Chinese bodywork therapies that work through direct contact with the skin and tissues. Unlike Western massage which focuses on relaxation, these therapies are diagnostic and therapeutic — addressing the root causes of pain, inflammation, and energetic stagnation.

Guasha vs. Tuina
**Guasha (刮痧)** — A smooth-edged tool (traditionally horn, jade, or bian stone) is used to press-stroke the oiled skin. This creates temporary red marks (sha) that indicate stagnation being released. Excellent for cold/flu, muscle tension, fever, and facial rejuvenation (gentle version). **Tuina (推拿)** — A therapeutic massage using techniques like rolling, kneading, pressing, and joint mobilization along meridians and acupoints. More vigorous than Western massage, Tuina targets specific conditions like frozen shoulder, sciatica, sports injuries, and digestive issues.
Deep Muscle Relief
Addresses chronic tension, knots, and myofascial restrictions.
Immune Boost
Guasha increases circulation and immune response — especially useful at the first sign of cold.
Headache & Neck Pain
Highly effective for tension headaches and cervical pain.
Sports Recovery
Tuina accelerates recovery from sports injuries and overuse strain.
